Every task the meeting agreed, with an owner, a due date and a priority. The Status turns red for overdue, amber for due this week, blue for open and green for done, and refreshes each time you open the file.
A starting agenda focus, the metrics to review and a suggested duration for ten kinds of business: restaurants, retail, factories, warehouses, clinics, salons, hotels, offices, cloud kitchens and sites.
A record of each meeting with invited versus present, so the attendance percentage calculates for you, plus the actions raised, actions closed and the key decisions taken.
One screen showing open, overdue and done action items, the average attendance across meetings, and how many actions were raised versus closed. It all rolls up automatically.
Fill the team roster once and the Agenda and Action Items pick owners from it. A plain-language guide explains the timings and the status colours. Type only in the cream cells; formulas stay locked.
Ten people sit down at 10. Someone starts on last night's billing, it drifts into a rant about a vendor, and by the time anyone mentions this week's plan it is 11 and half the room has tuned out. Nobody wrote down who does what. Next week the same problem comes up again.
Most Indian SMEs run the weekly meeting from memory. It feels flexible, but it quietly wastes the most expensive hour of the week, the one where the whole team is in the room. Without a running order the meeting expands to fill the time, and without written actions the decisions evaporate the moment everyone walks out.
An agenda fixes both problems. It sets the order and a time for each item, so the meeting moves, and it ends every point with a clear action, an owner and a due date. A weekly structured routine is what turns a talking shop into a place where things actually get decided.
This template does the mechanical part for you. Put a start time and a duration against each item and the sheet works out when every point starts and ends, and when the meeting is over. Log the actions and it tells you which are overdue today, in red, without anyone chasing a diary.
It also fits your trade. A restaurant reviews covers and ratings; a factory reviews output and rejections; a clinic reviews patient load and complaints; an office runs through project status and facilities. The Industry Agenda Variants sheet gives each a starting point, so you are not inventing the agenda from a blank page every Monday.

The sample agenda runs a complete weekly meeting in 60 minutes across nine items, each one time-boxed, so a full review does not eat the whole morning.

Source: this template's meeting structureWith no running order, the first loud topic sets the direction and the important items never come up. A fixed agenda decides the order before anyone sits down.
One discussion swells to forty minutes and the rest of the meeting is rushed. Putting a duration on each item, and watching the clock, keeps every point to its share of the hour.
A meeting that ends on "okay, good discussion" changes nothing. Every point should close with a specific action written down, not a vague intention everyone remembers differently.
A task assigned to "the team" is assigned to no one. Every action needs one name and one due date, so there is a single person to ask and a day to ask them by.
If the meeting does not open by checking what was agreed last week, half of it quietly never happens. Reviewing open actions first is the fastest way to build follow-through.
If the whole meeting is one person reading out updates, it should have been a WhatsApp note. Keep the meeting for the things that genuinely need discussion and a decision.
When nothing is written down, the same debate returns in a month because no one remembers what was settled. A short log of decisions and attendance ends the repeat arguments.
